Judson Wood, DDS
Dr. Judson Wood completed his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Shortly after graduating, he decided that he shared the same passion for dentistry as his late father, Dr. Eric K. Wood, Sr. and late grandfather, Dr. Robert D. Wood. This led him to attending Meharry Medical College where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2010. While attending dental school, he served as the Student National Dental Association President Elect and President from 2008 to 2010.
Dr. Wood continued to hone in on his skills in dentistry and continued his education post doctorate by focusing on children’s oral health. He completed his pediatric dental residency at Metro Health Hospital and Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio in November of 2012.
Dr. Wood joined Associated Children’s Dentistry Team in Nashville, Tennessee in July 2013. He is the lead Pediatric Dentist and Owner of the practice. Associated Children’s Dentistry has three locations: Goodlettsville, Downtown Nashville, and Mt. Juliet. Dr. Wood is committed to providing the best dental care for children and continuing his father’s guiding principle for the dental practice: “treat our patients as if they were our own child(ren).”
Dr. Wood is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the National Dental Association. He frequently participates in health and wellness programs as often as possible to spread the urgency about the need for oral health care in children. He also continues to expand his knowledge with continuing education that allows him to incorporate emerging dental methods and technologies to provide Associated Children’s Dentistry patients with the best results.
When Dr. Wood is not practicing his passion for children’s dentistry he dedicates his time to his wife, Dr. Angelica Garrett Wood and their children Andersyn, London and Harper.
