Dr. Hari Ian McGowan was born and raised in Bordeaux/ North Nashville, Tennessee. He attended High School at Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School. Dr. Hari McGowan was one of the first patients of Associated Children’s Dentistry and knew he wanted to be a Dentist before the age 10. He graduated from Tennessee State University and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. McGowan completed a 1 year Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Columbia University/ Harlem Hospital in New York City where he received extensive clinical and didactic training in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Trauma. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. After working for 2 years as a General Dentist, Dr. McGowan decided to chase his dream of becoming a Pediatric Dentist. He was accepted to MetroHealth Hospital/ Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and received his certificate in 2017.
Dr. McGowan, his Wife, and four children moved back to Nashville in July of 2017. He spends his spare time with his family and friends. He loves cooking, fishing, video games, and sports.
